QR code for Google reviews

Most happy customers mean to leave a review and forget. A QR code at the moment of delight, on the receipt, the counter or the takeaway bag, removes every step between intent and the review form.

Bare domains are written in capitals inside the code, which makes it smaller. Paths keep their case.

We recommend a dynamic code for this

Change the destination after printing, see scans by placement, and get an alert if the code gets covered. It keeps working even if you stop paying.

How to set it up

  1. 1

Open your Google Business Profile, choose 'Ask for reviews', and copy the short review link.

  2. 2

Paste it into the generator. A dynamic code lets you redirect it later if Google changes the link format.

  3. 3

Print it with a clear call to action such as 'Enjoyed your visit? Review us on Google'.

  4. 4

Put it where people wait: the counter, receipts, invoices and delivery bags.

Recommended size

25-35 mm on receipts and cards; 50 mm on counter signs.

What works

  • Ask in person as well. The code works best as the follow-through to a spoken request.
  • Place the code by the exit or on the receipt, when the experience is complete.

Mistakes to avoid

  • Offering discounts in exchange for reviews. Google's policies prohibit incentivised reviews.
  • Linking to your Maps listing instead of the review form, which adds extra taps.

Where do I find my Google review link?

In your Google Business Profile, select 'Ask for reviews' (or 'Get more reviews'). Google shows a short link you can copy and paste into the generator.

Is it allowed to ask for reviews with a QR code?

Yes. Asking every customer is fine. Offering rewards for reviews, or only asking customers you expect to be positive, goes against Google's review policies.
