“I have to pay $120 to keep working codes I already printed on business cards.”

From a public 1-star review of a large QR code generator.

Most “free” dynamic codes stop working after a trial, once they are already printed on menus, signs and packaging. We built Kizmo so that can never happen to a code you print.

Tamper alerts

A covered code goes quiet. Kizmo notices.

Scam stickers over genuine codes grew sharply in 2026, on parking meters, restaurant tables and hotel lobbies. Kizmo learns each code's normal weekly rhythm and tells you which one stopped.

Table 7, daily scans

Closed Mondays. Kizmo compares each day with the same weekday.

3 weeks agoExample dataToday: 0 scans

“Table menu” at Table 7 stopped getting scans

It usually gets about 34 scans on a Saturday and got 0 in the last 24 hours. A sticker placed over a code is the most common cause.

Every code gets a placement

Name codes after where they live, like “Meter 12, Elm St”. Alerts, reports and scans tell you exactly where to look.

How tamper alerts work

Give customers something a fake can't copy

Turn on the verified check screen for payment, parking and donation codes. Before anything opens, people see your business name, where the code is placed and the site it leads to, on kizmo.io.

  • Domain-verified owners

Prove you own your website with a DNS record.

  • A code people can type

Every code has a short fallback like K7Q-2MX.

  • Public verify page

Anyone can look a code up at kizmo.io/verify.

  • One-tap reports

Customers report a suspicious code; you're alerted at once.

Not sure about a code? Check it first.

Upload a photo or paste the link. We follow every redirect without opening the page and flag look-alike domains, brand-new websites and hidden destinations.

Made to survive the printer

Most scanning failures are print failures. The generator checks yours before you pay for a print run.

Vector SVG and PDF

Exact millimetre sizes for printers, never a blurry screenshot.

Live print check

Contrast, quiet zone, logo coverage and module size at your print width.

Smaller codes

Short links are written in capitals so the code uses QR's compact alphanumeric mode.

Private by default

Static codes, Wi-Fi passwords and IBANs are generated in your browser and never sent to us.

Questions

Your printed codes keep working. Even if you stop paying.

Is Kizmo's QR code generator really free?

Yes. Static QR codes are free, unlimited, need no account and never expire. The Free plan also includes 3 dynamic codes with no card; paid plans start at $5 a month with a 7-day trial.

What happens to my dynamic codes if I stop paying?

They keep working. Every Kizmo code keeps redirecting to its last destination, whatever your plan. You would lose editing and analytics, never the printed code.

How does Kizmo know if a code has been covered?

Each monitored code learns its normal number of scans for each day of the week. If a code that is usually scanned records none in a day, the chance of that happening normally is very small, so we alert you and name the placement.

Can I check whether a QR code is safe?

Yes. The free QR safety checker reads a photo of the code in your browser, follows every redirect without opening the page, checks the domain's age and looks for brand impersonation.

Do you store data about people who scan my codes?

Only what analytics needs: time, approximate country and city, and device type. Kizmo never stores IP addresses and sets no cookies on redirects.
