About Kizmo

QR codes are printed once and trusted for years. The services behind them should deserve that trust.

Why Kizmo exists

Before writing any code we read public reviews of popular QR code services. The same story kept coming up: a business prints codes on menus, packaging or wedding invitations, a free trial ends, and every printed code stops working until someone pays.

At the same time, criminals have learned that a sticker over a genuine code is an easy way to steal payments on parking meters, restaurant tables and hotel lobbies, and the businesses whose codes are covered are often the last to know.

What we believe

  • A printed code is a promise. It should keep working as long as the paper does, whatever happens to a subscription.
  • Free should mean free. The Free plan never expires and needs no card. No download paywalls, no watermarks that appear after printing.
  • Safety is part of the product. Codes should help customers tell genuine from fake, and tell owners when something is wrong.
  • Collect as little as possible. We never store the IP addresses of people who scan codes.

How we work

Kizmo is small and independent. The generator and safety checker are free and need no account. Dynamic codes, analytics and tamper alerts live in the dashboard. Read the never-hostage guarantee for the commitments we put in writing.
