A vCard QR code stores your contact details inside the code itself. Scanning it opens the phone's 'add contact' screen with everything filled in, even without an internet connection.

## Steps

1. Fill in only what you want people to save: name, company, title, phone, email, website.
2. Keep it short. Every extra field makes the code denser and harder to print small.
3. Download the SVG or PDF and give it to your printer as vector artwork.
4. Test it on both iPhone and Android before ordering 500 cards.

**Recommended size:** At least 20 mm on a standard business card. vCards are dense, so do not go smaller.

## Tips

- If your details change often, link the code to a contact page instead and use a dynamic code.
- Include the country code in your phone number (+44, +1) so it works internationally.

## Common mistakes

- Adding a long address and bio, which pushes the code to a density that small prints cannot scan.
- Printing a PNG at low resolution. Always send vector (SVG or PDF) to a printer.

## Frequently asked questions

### Does a vCard QR code need internet?

No. The contact details are inside the code, so the phone can save them offline.

### Can I update a vCard QR code after printing?

Not the details stored in it. If you need to update them, point a dynamic code at an online contact page instead.
